The SCW Fall Arts and Crafts Fair runs from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2008. Metal Club Members will have over 1,000 pieces of metal art on display. A wide variety of themes including south western, contemporary, western and wildlife art will be available. Bring your family and friends early for the best selection. If you are interested in an early preview of some of the items, stop by the Metal Club prior to the Fair.
Visitors are always welcome at the Sun City West Metal Club during normal operating hours from 8 AM to 4 PM weekdays. Tours are available for those wishing to see the excellent facilities and equipment. Fresh coffee and pop is always provided for visitors by our friendly members. Over 200 pieces of metal art created by members of the club are on display. Metal art can be purchased either at the Metal Club or at the Village Store in the R. H. Johnson Rec. Center.
The next general membership meeting of the SCW Metal Club will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 13, 2008 in the R. H. Johnson Lecture Hall located next to the Village Store. All Metal Club members are encouraged to attend. Two lucky members attending the meeting will receive $25 checks.
Custom metal art, custom milling and lathe work, repairing garbage container tops, metal furniture repair, etc. are services offered to the community by members of the Metal Club. Visit the Metal Club and let us know of your needs.
If you are interested in joining the Metal Club, stop by for a tour of the facility. Many members of the club had no previous experience working with metal as it is not necessary. A wide variety of new skills can be learned from the myriad of classes available. Annual membership dues of $20 provide access to equipment and instruction unavailable elsewhere. The Metal Club also offers social opportunities at the club and events which include spouses or significant others.
