March 2010

January Art Image

Al Jeffers and Mike Loiselle designed and created 4 large metal art pieces depicting various wars that they contributed to the American Legion Post 62 in Peoria, AZ. This is a gift that is most meaningful to our revered veterans. Al Jeffers spent more than 50 hours designing the pieces and then Al and Mike Loiselle spent many hours cutting, grinding, welding and finishing the pieces. Each piece represents a different war including World War II [Iwo Jima], the Vietnam and Iraq wars along with the Marine Corps Emblem. Both Al and Mike are veterans of the Vietnam Conflict. The four pieces would have a value of well over $1,000.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 20, 2010 for the Spring S.C.W. Arts and Crafts Fair to be held at the R. H. Johnson Rec. Center. Tell your friends about this outstanding show and sale of items designed and created by members of the various arts and crafts clubs in S.C.W. As usual, the Metal Club Members will have over 1,500 pieces of unique, one of a kind metal art on display and for sale.
