The S.C.W. Metal Club is hosting a Mega Metal Art Sale and Open House with tours on Saturday, December 6, 2008, 9 AM to 3 PM, at the S.C.W. Metal Club Building next to the Visitors Center/PORA. The sale will feature over 1,500 pieces of unique handcrafted metal art treasures designed and created by members of the S.C.W. Metal Club. Bring you friends to see the very latest in metal art designs ranging from southwestern, western, contemporary, wildlife, etc. Admission and parking are free.

The December general membership meeting of the SCW Metal Club will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 11, 2008 in the R. H. Johnson Lecture Hall located next to the Village Store. Election of Officers and Board Members for 2009 will take place at this meeting. The names of the nominees are posted on the bulletin board inside the entrance of the Club Building. All Metal Club members are encouraged to attend. Two lucky members attending the meeting will receive $25 checks.

The Holiday’s are rapidly approaching. Consider doing some of your shopping for exquisite metal art. Metal art can be purchased at the Metal Club and the Village Store in the R. H. Johnson Rec. Center. Great values are available at both locations.

Knife/ax sharpening, repairing garbage container tops and metal furniture, special welding needs, custom metal art, milling and lathe work, etc. are services offered to the community by members of the Metal Club. Visit the Metal Club and let us know of your needs.

Visitors are always welcome at the Sun City West Metal Club during normal operating hours. Tours and demonstrations are available for those wishing to see the excellent facilities and equipment. Fresh coffee and pop is provided for visitors by our friendly members. Over 200 pieces of metal art created by members of the club are on display.

If you are interested in joining the Metal Club, stop by for a visit and tour of the facility. Many members of the club had no previous experience working with metal as no experienced is necessary. A wide variety of new skills can be learned from the myriad of classes available. Minimal membership dues provide access to equipment and instruction unavailable elsewhere. The Metal Club also offers social opportunities and events which include spouses or significant others.
